Bio

Tommaso Farinetti moves between modern classical and contemporary piano, combining composed works with freely unfolding improvisation. His music develops between restrained silence and raw, eruptive moments that emerge only in the moment. In his concerts, sound, risk and presence interact within a cinematic spatial experience.

His music moves between composed structures and open improvisation, shaped by recurring figures, sudden openings and strong dynamic contrasts.

A central element of his work is improvisation as a space of transformation, where the unexpected takes form. The concerts develop through direct interaction with the space and the audience, combining melodic clarity with moments of radical openness.

The live performances consist of long-form solo piano pieces (65–80 minutes), unfolding from the moment and characterised by immediacy, presence and tension.
